first_imgBeloved Grateful Dead tribute Joe Russo’s Almost Dead has taken a lighter schedule in 2016, as leading drummer Russo recently had his first child and has also been rekindling the Benevento Russo Duo this year. That won’t stop the group from ringing in the New Year, as the band has just announced a three-night run throughout the New York area. The famed Almost Dead will hit their home venue, the Brooklyn Bowl, on December 29th. From there, the band will travel from Brooklyn to Port Chester, NY, where they’ll spend December 30th and 31st at the historic Capitol Theatre. Almost Dead celebrated NYE at the Cap once before, in 2014, when they were joined by Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh for the entire performance.Tickets for all three shows go on sale this Friday, August 19th, at 12 PM Eastern. Don’t miss out! These are sure to be extra special shows from this incredible band. Of course, for fans of Russo’s blend of jamming, don’t miss him perform at the second annual Brooklyn Comes Alive festival in Brooklyn, NY – with over 50 artists spanning three venues in one day: October 22nd.
