Our office has not received any reports of injuries or damages; however reports are that the earthquake was felt in most parts of the island”. The National Disaster Coordinator is also advising persons who live in areas prone to flooding and landslides to exercise caution as the soil is saturated due to heavily rainfall.  The Office of Disaster Management Unit is also advising residents of Layou or anyone traversing the Layou area to exercise caution, as the river bed is heavily silted or raised significantly, making the area prone to flash flooding.Dominica Vibes News LocalNews 3.8 Magnitude Earthquake felt in Dominica poses no major threat by: – August 9, 2011 Sharelast_img read more
